TMSreq is aimed at companies of all sizes that are considering the purchase of a translation memory system.

It doesn’t matter whether you are new to the world of translation memory systems or already have a system in use and are looking for a new system that optimally supports your current and future requirements. TMSreq can be used by one person alone who can take care of the selection process – or by several stakeholders in your selection project from the areas of translation, project management, IT, and purchasing.

TMSreq provides you with an extensive catalog of over 200 requirements that a company can have for a TMS.

These are requirements that are directly related to translation processes and are highly relevant for your translators, linguists, terminologists, project managers, CAT engineers, etc.
However, there are also requirements from other stakeholders (such as IT, strategic purchasing, and vendor management) that should be incorporated into the selection process.

TMSreq facilitates a professional, objective selection process for your new TMS with a checklist that contains precisely those requirements that are of strategic importance for your current and future processes.

TMSreq represents knowledge and experience.

It is based on 30 years of experience as a language service provider:
On an operational level working on specific translation projects using different translation memory systems.
But also providing advice on the selection, rollout, and use of a suitable TMS.

We have compiled this knowledge in over 200 requirements.
These include both very basic requirements for a TMS and requirements for very complex technical use cases.
A sizeable proportion are, of course, requirements relating to work in translation processes.
But requirements from other areas (such as IT, data security, interoperability, license models, and the supply chain) are also included.

You decide which requirements are relevant for you when using TMSreq.

First, you register with us.

After signing a corresponding license agreement, you will receive a link to access the system.
All colleagues in your company who are to be involved in the selection process can use this to go through the individual requirements and rate them according to relevance.

Finally, our system generates a consolidated catalog of requirements from all the responses. You can use the catalog internally to evaluate the systems in question.
Or you can use it as the basis for an external evaluation or a tender with the respective tool manufacturers.

We are planning to start a closed beta test phase in May 2024.

In this phase, the system will initially only be made available to individual interested companies.

If you would like to apply for the beta test phase, please use the contact form.
